: The European Values Study (EVS) and the European Social Survey (ESS) are large-scale, cross-national, and longitudinal survey research programmes on basic human values. The EVS is managed by the Council of Programme Directors, who discuss the general outlines of the project and approve the final questionnaire and the survey method. The ESS ERIC is governed by a General Assembly, represented by National Representatives, which has three standing committees: a Scientific Advisory Board, a Methods Advisory Board and a Finance Committee. The ESS ERIC subscribes to the Declaration on Professional Ethics of the International Statistical Institute.
