ETHICS APPROVAL AND CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE

: All applicable international, national, and/or institutional guidelines for the care and use of animals were followed. No approval of the Research Ethics Committee was required, since the most data were collected during commercial fishing trips and research expeditions, where the analyses were conducted in accordance with the international standards. Samples to study the feeding patterns were taken from the dead fish caught by trawls on the research vessel. All the processes of sampling and analysing the material were conducted with the accordance to all the international and national principles for animal care and use. Any permission to use the sampled material is not required.
