ETHICS APPROVAL AND CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE
: The study is based on analysis of publicly available data. The only individual of Volga pikeperch that was studied was provided in a euthanized state by a recreational fisherman. No approval from a bioethics committee is required for this type of research.
