: Graphical abstract: An appropriate amount of WO3 loaded on the surface of SrTiO3 can provide effective protection for 304 SS under visible light. This is mainly because the special flower like structure on the surface of SrTiO3 has a large number of voids, which not only has a large surface area and provides more reaction sites, but also is conducive to the multiple reflection of incident light and improves the utilization of light. Moreover, heterojunction electric fields formed on the interface of WO3/SrTiO3 enhance the separation efficiency of photogenerated electrons and holes, promoting PCP performance.
