: Our future research will focus on identifying genes that cancer cells overexpress or suppress (such as certain growth factors, cytokines, oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes), and investigate how these genes are affected by silica nanoparticles. This will help us better understand the potential risks and benefits of using silica nanoparticles for wound healing or for any other therapeutic applications and develop safer and more effective treatments that might fit all patients.
