ETHICS APPROVAL AND CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE
: Our work complies with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as international requirements for ethical standards. All our procedures were performed during the birds’ lifetime and did not require their long-term removal from the wild. After capture, description, and tagging with rings and satellite transmitters, all birds were returned to the wild. The species we are studying is not included in the List of Threatened Bird Species of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). The compliance of this study with international ethical standards was confirmed by the Bioethics Commission of the Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences (extract from the minutes of the Commission meeting, Conclusion no. 1-15/15-01-2024 dated January 15, 2024).
