: Statement on the welfare of animals. All applicable international, national, and/or institutional guidelines for the care and use of animals were followed. The trawl surveys of Pacific salmon spawners in the waters of the northwestern Pacific Ocean off the Kuril Islands were conducted in accordance with the Plan of Resource Research of the Pacific Research Fisheries Center for 2018. The material for obtaining the qualitative characteristics of pink salmon spawners was collected in trawl catches from the surface layer (0–50 m).
