: This study was approved by the Alan Turing Institute Ethics Advisory Group under code C2105-074.All annotators employed in this study were over the age of 18, paid above local living wage, and were required to sign an electronic consent form confirming their agreement to participate and their understanding that content presented may be distressing (signposts to wellbeing resources were provided), and that they were able to withdraw from the study at any point without giving a reason.Data collection was conducted in agreement with the terms of the Twitter (now X) Academic Research API (now deprecated). All data collected was stored in access-restricted databases hosted on Azure. No personal data was presented to annotators or included any other research outputs (including this paper and data released).
