: Ascites fluid was collected from HGSC patients prior to surgery at the UKGM. The collection and analysis of human material were approved by the ethics committee at Philipps University (reference number 205/10). Blood from healthy adult volunteers was provided by the Center for Transfusion Medicine and Hemotherapy at the UKGM.
