: Primary astrocyte cultures were obtained from the brains of 1–3-day old mice of both sexes from the strain C57BL/6 J. Pups were purchased from in-house breeding and killed by decapitation. Animals were housed and cared for in accordance with Directive 2010/63/EU. All experiments were conducted according to the ARRIVE and further relevant guidelines. Parent mice were provided with nesting material and were kept in a 14 h light and 10 h dark cycle with lights on starting at 7 am. Animals were kept under standard conditions at (22 ± 2) °C room temperature with (55 ± 5) % humidity and had access to food and water ad libitum.
