:
: All the experimental procedures involving animals conformed to the Animal Welfare Act Guide for Use and Care of Laboratory Animals and were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Fudan University, China (approval no. 2023JS068, 2023). All studies were conducted in accordance with the Basel Declaration. All animals were housed under specific pathogen-free (SPF) conditions at a stable temperature of 24 °C. Male mice were chosen because of the variables (uncertain hormone changes etc.) in female mice. The mice were euthanized by intraperitoneal (i.p.) administration of pentobarbital sodium (50 mg/kg body weight), then the synovial tissues of knee joints were harvested for further examination. All procedures performed in studies involving human samples were approved by the Ethics Committee of The 9th Hospital of Ningbo, China (approval no. 2024LIW20, 2024). The local ethics committee follows the rules of the Helsinki Declaration.
