: Permission to conduct the study was sought from relevant ethical committees at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) and the Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) Research Committee. All patients were entered into the study after an informed consent agreement was signed. All patients received treatment as per standard hospital policies.
