All participants provided written informed consent after receiving explanations of the study’s risks and benefits. Patients incurred no costs and could withdraw at any time without affecting their care. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Kerman University of Medical Sciences (IR.KMU.REC.1404.545) and was prospectively registered with the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (IRCT20260627069963N1) on July 3, 2026, prior to participant enrollment.
