: Approval to conduct the study was granted by the Acting Clinical Head of The Centre of Excellence (CoE). Trainees provided informed consent to participate in the program and to have their anonymized training results reported. KZN health authorities waived the need for Ethics Committee approval, since there was no risk to the trainees. The SA Medical Association’s Ethics Committee (SAMAREC) approved Unicirc for Phase IV (post-licensing) use (06 March, 2014). South African policy permits circumcision for HIV prevention at all ages. Men who volunteered to be circumcised signed informed consent for the procedure, and guardians provided consent for each boy. All data were anonymized and kept confidential. No patient identifiers were included in the database.
