: Within the scope of the National German Dialogue on Micropollutants UBA [ ], which included stakeholders, such as researchers and producers, it was concluded that the impacts of ICM on water quality need to be further investigated. Bracco Imaging S.p.A, which is the biggest European producer of iopamidol, supported this by financing this study and providing chemical standards. All laboratory experiments were solely conducted at IWW as well the description and interpretation of the results.
