: The dataset used in this study, the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS), is publicly available (ExternalRef removed). The medical ethics committee approved the CFPS study, and all interviewees were required to sign informed consent. Ethics approval for the data collection in CFPS was obtained from the Biomedical Ethics Review Committee of Peking University (IRB00001052-14010). Ethics approval for the use of CFPS data was obtained from the University of Newcastle Human Research Ethics Committee. And all the participants gave their written informed consent before any study procedures began.
