Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Data recording and sample collection were conducted strictly in line with the laws given by Norwegian animal research authorities on the protection of animals (“Lov om dyrevelferd”). The data were obtained as part of routine data records in commercial breeding programs. Samples collected for DNA extraction were used only for the routine diagnostic purpose of the breeding program.
