: Blood collection and ear-tag sampling were carried out in accordance with the national regulations from the countries where such samples were collected. In the case of samples sequenced at Génoscope (Evry, France), DNA was imported into France either with authorization 31 555 50, delivered on May 24, 2016, for European countries or covered by an import permit from the DDPP (Direction Départementale de la Protection des Populations) for non-European countries. The only exception was the African animals for which sequencing was performed at Edinburgh Genomicsand the DNA for these libraries was imported into Scotland by permission of the Scottish Government Animal Health and Welfare Division and the UK under generic license IMP-GEN-2008-03.
