: The animals used in this study were produced by the Salmones Camanchaca Company. The use of the fish followed the animal welfare practices of the company, complying with the Animal Protection Law (LAW 20380) of 2009 and the Animal Welfare Policy of 2021. Additionally, the study was approved by the Animal Ethics Bioethics Committee of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (approval code: BIOPUCV-H 462–2021) in accordance with the specifications outlined in the 2018 CONICYT/ANID Manual of Biosafety Standards and Associated Risks (“Manual de Normas de Bioseguridad y Riesgos Asociados”), as the animals were sacrificed for research purposes.
