Ethics approval and consent to participate

: All the GBS isolates used in this study were collected as part of routine procedures in the clinical microbiology laboratories of the tertiary centers. Patient identities were removed before storage in bacterial banks. All the isolates were stored in bacterial banks until being used for further analyses. Only characteristics of GBS were recorded, informed consent or ethical approval was not necessary for the study.
