: All the procedures performed in zebrafish were done at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular’s fish facility, licensed by the national General Directorate authority (DGAV – Direcção Geral de Alimentação e Veterinária) complying with the Directive 2010/63/EC (transposed to the Portuguese legislation by Decreto-Lei 113/2013) and following the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA) guidelines and recommendations concerning laboratory animal welfare, scientific use and proper education/training of all personnel performing animal work.The present project was approved by the ethics committee of Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte and Centro Académico de Medicina de Lisboa, presided by Professor Doctor José Luis B. Ducla Soares.
