: All methods and protocols were approved by an institutional and/or licensing committee and carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Standard live trapping and sample collection protocols were used in all cases and have been approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUC) of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA (protocol #10-1617 and 10-1920) and Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN (protocol #1111000236 and 1201000596). All trapping and tissue sample collection in Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania was completed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Endangered and Nongame Species Program and Indiana Department of Natural Resources (agencies mandated by state law to review and perform all monitoring and permitting).
