: The experiment involving challenge test on fish material was performed in Italy. The approval of the experiment was taken from the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie, which is a public health body belonging to the National Health System of Italy. The experimental protocol was approved by the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie animal-welfare body and Ethic commission (Opinion n° 15/2013 of the 12 September 2013) and authorized by the Italian Ministry of Health (Law decree n° 135/2014-B of the 28th March 2014), according to Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes. Experimental fish for the challenge test came from Ferme Marine de Douhet (FMD, Oléron Island, France) breeding nucleus which were a part of this project, and therefore no official permission was required for obtaining the experimental unit.
