: No special permission was required to collect the Japanese grass lizard in the field. Our animal experiments were conducted in accordance with the guideline of the Animal Experiment Committee of Nagoya City University with permission (No. H21N-02). Another permission for recombinant DNAs was also taken through the Recombinant DNA Safety Committee of Nagoya City University (Nos. 08–301 and 13–301).
