: All animal studies were approved by the Texas State University Institutional Animal Care and Use Review Board (IACUC protocol #2015107711). All fish used in this study were from aquaria housed stock and were kept and sampled in accordance with the applicable national and international legislation regulations governing animal experimentation.Only fish, <i>Xiphophorus maculatus</i> Jp 163 B were utilized in these studies. These animals were bred and maintained in the <i>Xiphophorus</i> Genetic Stock Center (), a scientific animal resource facility supported by the National Institutes of Health. The fish utilized were raised from laboratory stocks and maintained in accordance with the applicable OLAW guidelines governing animal experimentation in the USA.
