: The Senate Research and Publications Committee of the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Tanzania approved the study (Ref. No. MU/PGS/PhD/Vol.VI/154). Permission to conduct the study was obtained from KIDH administration. Prior to any study procedure, we obtained written informed consent that was signed by all patients. All study participants received MDR-TB treatment according to existing National and global MDR-TB treatment guidelines in Tanzania [,].
