: Among the capsicum germplasm used in this study, 100 accessions were introduced from the Lab of Vegetable Germplasm, Institute of Flowers and Vegetable, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science, and 60 accessions were preserved by Sichuan Agricultural University. All the accessions were self-pollinated by the authors for at least 5 generations. These plant materials don’t include any wild species at risk of extinction. No specific permits are required for sample collection in this study. We comply with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation for plant study.
