Seeds of all wild accessions were provided by the USDA-ARS North Central Regional Plant Introduction Station (Ames, Iowa, USA) and the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK; Gatersleben, Germany), whereas the seeds of cultivated carrot were obtained either from the collections of the Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, University of Agriculture in Krakow (Krakow, Poland) or purchased from commercial sources.
