: The conducted research is not related to the use of animals. However, the research work was approved by the Dalhousie University Animal Care and Use Committee (certification# 2018–009 and 2019–012). All the methods were carried out according to the Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Farmed Mink guidelines published by the Canada Mink Breeders Association (ExternalRef removed) at the Canadian Center for Fur Animal Research (CCFAR), Dalhousie University, Faculty of Agriculture (Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada). This study is presented in accordance with the ARRIVE guidelines. We also confirm that no human tissues were used in this research.
