: This study on plants, including the collection of plant material, complied with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation. The samples were collected from private lands, and all samples collection with protocols approved by the owner after signing a memorandum of understanding with the owner and obtaining permission. Since this study did not involve any endangered or protected species, no ethical approval or consent was required. All Moso bamboo and kikko-chiku sampling was conducted in managed bamboo forests, including botanical gardens, private gardens, and agricultural lands for bamboo shoot production. Norihide Nishiyama and Harutsugu Kashiwagi determined that the samples were definitely Moso bamboo and kikko-chiku, and the correctness of this determination was supported by WGS and GRAS-Di analysis.
