Declarations
:
: An ethical committee of Sanritsu Zelkova Veterinary Laboratory reviewed/approved our study design to maintain the anonymity/privacy of companion animals (approval number SZ20200220-1). Informed consents were obtained from the pet owners for the case presentations [, ]. Background information (strain–host–collection date–geographic location–isolation source) is available on the NCBI website. We eventually selected the FU1 strain from the open pus of a cat living in Chiba, Japan, on 1-Apr-2017 as well as the NCTC 12191(T) from bovine mastitis. Additionally, our research is the in vitro study, not the animal study; the Basel Declaration is not applicable. We did not use the euthanasia/sacrifice methods in this research, because of the in vitro study.
