: Animal experiments were approved by the Ethics committee of the “Regierung von Oberbayern” (government of Upper Bavaria, Germany) under the approval numbers ROB-55.2–2532.Vet_02-17–101 and ROB-55.2–2532.VET_02-22–166 . The “Regierung von Oberbayern” serves as the competent authority and official ethics committee in accordance with §15 of the German Animal Welfare Act (Tierschutzgesetz). All animals originated from the university’s own breeding facility (Reproductive Biotechnology, TUM, Germany) and were maintained under standardized SPF husbandry conditions. All procedures were conducted in compliance with the applicable European and German regulations on animal experimentation.
