Ethics approval and consent to participate: During this study, the collection and utilization of Petrocosmea qinlingensis were conducted with appropriate permits from the Hanzhong Wildlife Conservation and Management Station. The collection site was located in Lueyang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province, China (106° 23′ 7″ E, 33° 9′ 53″ N). The collection activities did not exert any negative impact on the wild plant population or the ecological environment.
