: <i>S. aureus</i> clinical isolates were retrospectively collected from the inpatients of Nanshan People’s Hospital in Shenzhen and were approved by the institutional ethical committee of Shenzhen Nanshan people’s hospital. Isolates were collected as part of the routine clinical management of patients, according to the national guidelines in China. Therefore, informed consent was not sought.
