: The <i>M. haemlytica</i> strains used in this study were part of our pre-existing KSU-USMARC and Zoetis collections first described in [CitationRef removed]. The use of cattle for sampling that produced our KSU-USMARC collection was approved by the Kansas State University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. The strains comprising our Zoetis collection were donated to Zoetis by diagnostic labs and were used with permission in this study by the corresponding diagnostic lab and Zoetis.
