: Animal experimentation in this study was performed in accordance with the Animals for Scientific Purposes Act, B.E. 2558 (A.D. 2015), Thailand. BALB/cMlac mice (8-week old, female) were purchased from National Laboratory Animal Center, Mahidol University. All mouse colonies were maintained according to the local regulatory guideline and hygiene monitoring. Mouse experiments were approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) of Khon Kaen University, Thailand (approval number: 0514.1.75/34).<i>Galleria mellonella</i> (200–400 mg body weight in last larvae stage) were obtained from Jerry® Wax Worms (Thailand). Larvae were maintained according to the approved protocols for an in vivo work by the research ethics committee of Mahidol University, Thailand (approval certificate number: MU-IACUC 2018/015). Moreover, the present study has been reported in compliance with the ARRIVE guidelines (Animal Research: Reporting in Vivo Experiments).
