: This study was performed in line with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. The urine samples were collected by the routine laboratory facility of Alexandria Main University Hospital, <i>E. coli</i> isolates were provided anonymously and used in this study. No specimens were collected from patients under the age of 16. The authors did not have any contact with the patients.
