: Ethical clearance was obtained from the ethical review board of Mekelle University's College of Veterinary Sciences. Following a briefing on the project's objectives, the study districts also provided approval to carry out the fieldwork. Before data collection and the tuberculin skin test, informed consent was obtained from animal owners to include their animals in the study and to interview them for public health awareness evaluations, and confidentiality was ensured.
