: This study was conducted according to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. The study is a retrospective molecular investigation of historical strain collections using MLVA typing methods. The research protocol was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Yunnan Institute of Endemic Disease Control and Prevention (2023015), and all blood samples were collected from patients for diagnosis purposes. Brucella spp. was isolated from patients’ blood samples following confirmation of their consent. The studies were conducted in accordance with the local legislation and institutional requirements.
