: The retrospective part of this study was conducted using anonymized data extracted from routine laboratory information systems. According to Danish legislation (Committee Act § 14, Sect. 2), studies that rely exclusively on fully anonymized registry or laboratory data do not require approval from a regional research ethics committee or informed consent from participants. Consequently, no formal approval or waiver was sought.The prospective laboratory simulation part of the study did not involve human participants, human data, or patient material and therefore did not require ethical approval.The study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
