: Ethical approval for the collection of Mycolicibacterium houstonense hospital isolates and background clinical data was obtained from the Medical Ethics Committee of Changshu Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University, Changshu NO.1 People’s Hospital, Jiangsu, China, with approval number L2025037. This study was conducted in accordance with Helsinki Declaration. According to the Changshu Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University Medical Ethics Committee, informed consent was deemed unnecessary because the isolate was obtained from residual pus specimens remaining after the completion of clinical microbiological testing of hospitalized patients.
