: S. maltophilia KJ used in this research was sourced from the microbiological collection at China Medical University Hospital (Taiwan). It was isolated from the sputum of a pneumonia patient. The research was reviewed by Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Taipei Veterans General Hospital (2024-01-015BC). Since the sputum was collected as part of routine medical care and the study only involved bacterial strains without usage of patient’s information or clinical data, the IRB exempted the need for formal consent. This study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
