: Ethical clearance was secured from Institutional Ethics Review Board, Institute of Health, Jimma University with ethics approval number Ref No THRPG1/854. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations, including the Declaration of Helsinki. Permission was obtained from MKCSH administration. Written informed consent was obtained from each participants after explanation of the purpose of the study and procedure of sample collection. All the personal information of participants collected for the purpose of this study was kept confidential. The presence of drug resistant isolates was informed to ART clinic focal person in charge at MKCSH for the better management of the study participant.
