: All samples from mature <i>S. album</i> trees growing in a sandalwood plantation at the South China Botanical Garden (SCBG), which are available for non-commercial purposes, were collected. <i>S. album</i> seedlings were cultivated in the SCBG greenhouse. No specific permits were required.
