: This study has not directly involved humans or animals. The yellow-seeded <i>B. napus</i>, which originated from somatic hybridization between <i>B. napus</i> and <i>S. alba,</i> was created and preserved by our group. The black-seeded <i>B. napus</i> was obtained from the Jiangsu Lixiahe Region Agricultural Research Institute, China. No specific permission was required for use of these materials for experimental purposes. The seedlings were grown in the experimental field of Yangzhou University, Yangzhou, China as per standard practices, and samples were harvested at the required time. We comply with the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
