: This project uses plant materials and does not utilize transgenic technology. We complied with all relevant institutional, national and international guidelines and the appropriate permissions were obtained from the Mount Tianmu National Nature Reserve and Motuo National Nature Reserve. The authorities responsible for the <i>Taxus</i> resources are the Mount Tianmu National Nature Reserve, who provided permission to collect the samples of <i>P. chienii</i>, and Motuo National Nature Reserve, who provided permission to collect the samples of <i>T. yunnanensis</i>, for our scientific research.
