: We comfirm that the maize landrace Silunuo was collected from Yunnan Province, China by Maize Research Institute, Sichuan Agricultural University, maize inbred line SICAU1212 was bred from Silunuo by us, teosinte MT1 (accession number: 1 l394) was obtained from the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT). The legality of these seeds complies with the IUCN Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction and the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. All field experiments were conducted in accordance with the local legislation of China.
