: <i>Rhododendron fortunei</i> and <i>Rhododendron ‘Nova Zembla’</i> is not listed in the appendices I, II and III of the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, that has been valid from 4 April 2017 (). The petal samples of <i>Rhododendron fortunei</i> and <i>Rhododendron ‘Nova Zembla’</i> used in this study were collected from the trees grown at Simingshan National Forest Park, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Collection of plant materials complied with the institutional, national and international guidelines. No specific permits were required.
