: Original plants of <i>Grona styracifolia</i> used in this study were all collected from the Dianbai county of Guangdong Province, which were then transplanted in the medicinal botanical garden at the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. Permission was not necessary for collecting this species, which has not been included in the list of Chinese national key protected plants. The species authentication was conducted by Professor Chaomei Pan from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. A voucher specimen (440923140720010LY) of <i>Grona styracifolia</i> was deposited at the Chinese Medicine Herbarium of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. Experimental research on <i>Grona styracifolia</i> complies with the guidelines of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, and does not include the genetic transformation of the same, preserving the genetic background of the species used. It does not require ethical approval.
