: This research on wild Chinese prickly ash was approved by the local government. The collecting of these materials was allowed by the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and Regulations of the protection of wild plants in Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hebei and Shandong provinces. All the methods were carried out in compliance with local and national regulations. The wild Chinese prickly ash peels in the study were collected from natural populations, which did not affect the survival or reproduction of the species. All Chinese prickly ash samples were authenticated by Professor Wu Zhenhai from Northwest A & F University, and the voucher specimens of all samples, with voucher ID number form NWAFUZM01 to NWAFUZM026, were stored in College of Science, Northwest A & F University, Yangling, China.
